Backend systems and 3D interfaces for business software

I build the services behind business applications in Go, Java/Kotlin and .NET, and the interactive 3D views that sit on top of them: system maps, digital twins, operations dashboards and product configurators.

Backend
Go, Java / Kotlin, ASP.NET Core
Data and delivery
PostgreSQL, Docker, CI pipelines
3D on the web
three.js, WebGPU, TSL
Availability
Taking new projects
Service map — payment platform, sample data

Loading 3D view…

Live 3D view of the services behind an online payment flow. Hover a service to see its request rate, latency and error rate. Rendered with three.js WebGPURenderer.

Interactive examples

Working 3D views of the kind used in operations, logistics and commerce software. They run live on this page with the three.js WebGPURenderer and shaders written in TSL, and fall back to WebGL 2 where WebGPU is not available. All figures are sample data.

Services

Fixed-scope projects for companies and teams. Each engagement ends with source code you own, documentation and a deployment that runs.

Backend services and APIs

REST and gRPC services designed around your domain, with a relational schema, authentication and tests.

Deliverables

  • Service code with a clean, layered architecture
  • Database schema and migrations
  • OpenAPI documentation and a Docker setup

Go · Java / Kotlin (Spring) · ASP.NET Core · PostgreSQL

3D interfaces for the web

Interactive views of real systems and products, connected to your data and usable in a normal browser without plugins.

Deliverables

  • Digital twins, system maps and dashboards
  • Product configurators with pricing logic
  • Optimised models that load fast on phones

three.js · WebGPU / WebGL 2 · TSL

Business web applications

Internal tools, admin panels and shops: the interface, the API behind it and the database, delivered as one working product.

Deliverables

  • Role-based admin interfaces
  • Order, catalogue and customer workflows
  • Reports and exports

ASP.NET Core MVC · Vue · PostgreSQL

Automation and data collection

Scripts and services that collect data from websites, process files or connect two systems on a schedule.

Deliverables

  • Scrapers and importers with error handling
  • Scheduled jobs packaged in Docker
  • Clean output in your database or spreadsheets

Python · Docker

Code you can review

Public repositories from my GitHub account, chosen for the patterns that matter in business backends: layered architecture, validation, API documentation, containerised deployment.

RepositoryWhat it isPatterns and stack
FileService File storage REST service. Files are kept on disk, their metadata in a database; uploads are validated and errors are returned in a uniform format. Java · Clean architecture (API / Core / Infrastructure) · CQRS commands and queries with validators · Swagger · Docker Compose
Gtracker Goal and task tracking API with sign-up, login and list filtering, built for a team-development course. Go · HTTP handlers with DTO validation and unit tests · Swagger docs · Docker Compose · GitLab CI
PieShop and PieShopAdmin Online shop with a separate administration application for products, categories and orders. C# · ASP.NET Core MVC · Entity Framework migrations · Repository pattern · PostgreSQL · Docker
TBank-FinTech Assignments from the T-Bank “Fintech: Java development” course, including message-queue benchmarks run under Docker Compose. Kotlin / Java · Gradle · Message queues · Docker Compose · GitHub Actions
bank-api Banking API with accounts, ledger entries and money transfers, built while following the Go Backend Master Class. Go · PostgreSQL transactions · Makefile workflow · Docker Compose
ak-karimzai.github.io This page: the service map, warehouse twin, dashboard and configurator, the WebGPU-to-WebGL fallback and the enquiry form. JavaScript · three.js WebGPURenderer · TSL · Vite · GitHub Pages

How a project runs

  1. 1

    Brief

You describe what you need. A few paragraphs are enough; I will ask about the rest.

  2. 2

    Scope and quote

I reply with questions, then a written scope with a fixed price and a timeline before any work starts.

  3. 3

    Build with previews

You follow progress in a repository and on a preview link, and review each milestone.

  4. 4

    Handover

You receive the source code, setup documentation and help with deployment to your infrastructure.
